the beginning

It all began as human form. We have traveled this long distance, sustained the endless dark nights, frozen stiff and then melted away, stripping all down upon our arrival --  when the sky was all lit up. The jungle quietly awaited, and she warmly welcomed us home -- as if we had been here before. The dews on the leaves, and the moist in the air, had all of a sudden been infused with a surge of new, supple energy, that congregated all down the river. It flew downslope following the landscapes the predecessors had mined and walked. There, we diverged, became beings of solitude, and one after one we walked the old paths that were once walked on.
